Feels like Jimi sparkled and.fizzled out too soon! Mostly bored with what was done. He seemed to find some new avenues before he left us! Kinda felt unfullfilled and he did admit he had come full circle in such a short time.

Some people think shredding Hendrix songs & playing them faster makes em better but it's the "Power Of Soul' Jimi puts into his songs that can't be replicated. Love Living Colour but ain't Jimi but thanks for doing this tributer!~

Essa é a diferença entre um guitarrista virtuoso e um guitarrista com feeling. Vernon Reed é monstruoso, mas aí está a prova que Tom morelo fez menos e obteve resultado melhores. O único que sobressaiu nessa versão foi o Corey.

RESPECT TO SPRINGSTEEN 4 WRITING THIS SONG, BUT IMO THIS IS A BETTER VERSION. WHICH IS RARE TO HAVE A VERSION OF ANY SONG BETTER THAN THE ORIGINAL. BUT, THIS IS AN OCCASION WERE THIS VERSION, IN MY OPINION, IS BETTER THAN THE ORIGINAL.

The beauty of the original was the Buddy Miles/Billy Cox groove and how Hendrix made the most of each note. These guys are fine musicians, but the "soul" gives way to a sped up frantic tempo and far too much shredding.

What makes it worse is that people would probably call this "Unamerican" to sing in the wake of Sept. 11th. Bruce himself had the NYPD threaten that they wouldn't provide security if he performed this at MSG, and they did turn their backs on him and refuse to escort him afterwards.

Living Colour is a great band from New York City, formed in 1984. The band currently consists of guitarist Vernon Reid, lead vocalist Corey Glover, drummer Will Calhoun and bassist Doug Wimbish. ~ Vernon Alphonsus Reid (born 22 August 1958) is an English-born American guitarist and songwriter. Reid is the founder and primary songwriter of the rock band. Reid was named No. 66 on Rolling Stone magazine's 2003 list of the 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time. ~ Critic Steve Huey writes, "[Reid's] rampant eclecticism encompasses everything from heavy metal and punk to funk, R&B and avant-garde jazz, and his anarchic, lightning-fast solos have become something of a hallmark as well." ~~ 🎸🎼
